The Cannondale F7

For the last 5 years I have been working in a Government call centre and lived what is essentially a sedintary lifestyle (plain lazy). I'm 27 and still looking fit but I knew the guys on the biggest loser would kick my butt. I didn't want to be like one of the people trying to play catch up in my 50's. In the past all my fitness programes had failed, I was lacking motivation and easily distracted.

My solution: Mountain Biking - I needed something fun and adventurous to keep me interested. For the past 3 weeks I have been able to keep up a program of riding about 4-5 times a week, from 30 min to 1 hour.

In my quest for a mountain bike for under $800 I did hours of research. Trying to squeeze as much out of my $800 bucks as I could. Eventually it came down to 3 bikes, a Giant Yukon, a Trek 4300 disc and a Cannondale F7.

The Yukon had a great spec for the price but it was a tad heavy, the trek had little bit better spec than the Cannondale F7 but after a test ride side by side, the Cannondale F7 was the clear winner, I'm no expert and I don' know the the technical terms to use, but it just rode better, it felt good.

The Cannondale slogan is "feel it" and it's true, jump on a Cannondale and you'll see it's simply a sweeter ride. Now the F7 is the entry level bike and the spec was a little lower, but it was worth the trade off. Love my Cannondale F7. Now when I purchase my next bike it's not what bike and I going to get but which Cannondale am I going to buy!
